Folded and inscribed on verso: Dated 9 April 1844. Joseph Potter to Messrs. Unwin Indenture of apprenticeship. Witnessed by a solicitor, Coggeshall. Signed and sealed by the five parties to the agreement. Official seal (one pound) in top left-hand corner, overstamped Essex 13.5.39
