File of papers and photographic prints kept by Dr Colin Toothill (1928-2005), formerly of the Department of Chemical Pathology at the Leeds School of Medicine.


The papers mainly relate to the Department of Pathology and Bateriology, and include:


a photocopy of an article by Matthew J. Stewart, 'Department of Pathology and Bacteriology University of Leeds', reprinted from Methods and Problems of Medical Education, Tenth Series (1928);


an envelope containing a letter and 17 prints of various images, such as a photograph of the memorial plaque to Guy Alfred Wyon (1883-1924), Lecturer in Pathology, and historic images of the Leeds School of Medicine interior, some of which are reproduced in the Matthew J. Stewart article;


an envelope sent to Dr Toothill from the Medical Photography department, containing 12 prints of historic portraits of various people, including: Lavoisier, Pasteur, Gaelin, Bunsen, Priestley, Wohler, Black, and Scheele;


a postcard from the Royal College of Nursing, with an image on the British Journal of Nursing [n.d.];


two floppy disks: one Hard Disk Restore for AST multimedia systems, and one labelled 'Guy Alfred Wyon'.
