University of London:
- certificate of matriculation as a student, 21 Jul 1859
- certificate for passing the first exam for a Bachelor of Arts degree, 26 Jul 1860
- certificate for passing the preliminary scientific examination for a degree of Bachelor of Medicine, 31 Jul 1862
Royal College of Surgeons of England:
- certificate for qualification as a surgeon and membership of the College, 21 May 1862
Society of Apothecaries of London:
- certificate for qualification as an Apothecary, 1 Jan 1863
Royal Humane Society:
- certificate for election as a Medical Assistant at the Royal Humane Society, in the district of Erith, Kent, 19 April 1865
University of Aberdeen:
- two certificates for degrees, dated 8 Aug 1876
- one certificate, dated 1877
- a card for the University of Aberdeen General Council, certifying Churton as a registered member for life, 31 Dec 1877.
- certificate of registration for additional qualification, M.D. University of Aberdeen 1877, registered 19 Nov 1879
Biography or history
Thomas Churton (1839-1926) was a lecturer in Medicine at the Leeds School of Medicine between 1884 and 1920. He trained at the Universities of Aberdeen and London, as well as at the Leeds School of Medicine, qualifying in 1862. He was Physician to the Leeds General Infirmary 1880-1920. He died in 1926.
