Description
Correspondence with Thomas Scattergood, and memoranda, relating to the Library. Includes:
- A manuscript catalogue description card for the manuscript copy of "Eight anatomical tables of the human body [...]" by John Innes (Edinburgh, 1776);
- correspondence with Alfred G. Barrs, honorary librarian, regarding plans for the library, regulations, non-returns of books, and printing a catalogue;
- copy of the printed regulations for use of the library;
- memorandum dated 17 March 1886, listing the number of books in the Yorkshire College Medical Department Library, and a separate list of books belonging to the Leeds & West Riding Medico Society;
- letters relating to the donation of books to the Library, from Mr Disney Thorp, after his death in 1889;
- a manuscript list of Library rules;
- copies of the annual report of the Leeds & West Riding Medico-Chirurgical Society, 1888 and 1889;
- and two letters from William Stroud regarding giving lectures in Chemical Physics, 1886.
