The large envelope contains: (1) A certificate awarded to Arnold Lupton (with a silver medal) by the Order of St John of Jerusalem, for the rescue of two persons after an explosion at Wharncliffe Colliery, Barnsley; (2) A letter from Nathan Bodington, with Arnold Lupton's reply; (3) A letter from F.S. Atkinson, of Upton Colliery, near Pontefract, to Dr Richard Offor


Written on one side of the leaves only. Each sheet is mounted. Bound in dark brown leather, with gilt tooling
