Some items are written in various hands, others are press-cuttings from the 'Yorkshire Evening Post', or extracts from Dorothy Leak's copy of 'Beeton's everyday cookery' (London, [ca.1888]). All are mounted on sheets of white paper

Dorothy Mary Leak (1903-1989) was a sub-librarian in the Brotherton Library until her retirement in 1968
