Description

An impromptu for Alto, Tenor and Bass' by Charles Edward Horn, in the composer's autograph. Headed with 'For H. Phillips, esq.' and signed 'June 6th. 1843 C.E.H.' Two letters: 1) to N[icolas] Mori, dated 25 February 1832; 2) no addressee, but possibly to the publisher Robert Birchall, offering an arrangement of Beethoven's 'Battle Sinfonia' [Wellington's Victory] for a flute, two violins, two tenors [violas], two basses [cellos] and a double bass ad libitum. [c. 1816]
