Description

1) Double sided 1 page autograph (handwritten) manuscript from Lavengro, chapter 14. [This is referred to on a note as 'the immortal dialogue between Lavengro's mother and father as to the future of their two sons."] Undated.


2) The folder that the manuscript was housed in - from book seller, 'Chas. F Sawyer Ltd," Dated and signed by D.U Mcgrigor Phillips November 1951.


3) Typed transcript of the manuscript with phrases underlined to suggest where they differ from those that were published.


4). Typed note summarising the content, attached to a extract from the booksellers catalogue with details of the item for sale.

Donated to the University in 1951 by Dorothy Una Ratcliffe, (D.U McGrigor Phillips), probably just after its purchase. The transcript was probably done at a later date.
