Autograph (handwritten) manuscript notebook containing the following:


1) "The Bible in Spain;" Chapter 14 entire, and fragments of Chapters 16, 52 and 53. [ ff. 1-15;]


2) draft of a letter rejecting the view that the Gypsies are of Jewish origin; [ff. 27, 26]


3)English-Romany vocabulary. [ff. 28-end].


Inside front cover reads the title, "Account Book,"and DUR bookplate. Inside rear cover includes a descrition of the item from bookseller, (Bernard Quaritch's Catalogue No. 550).


Also included are 4 small slips of paper with notes on the contents, [presumably the work of the cataloguer in 1962].
