Letter in response to Mrs Richard Morris, who had recommended or offered the service of a Mrs Brown to work as a maid for Florence Nightingale.
The letter also refers to Mrs [Lydia] Egerton Leigh - Nightingale mentions her memory of Egerton Leigh's child giving her a present of a basket during the Crimean War.
Letter is written in pencil and sent from 35 South Street, Park Lane, W.
The letter is attached to page 59 of the Egerton Leigh Autographs: Royalty & Ladies volume.
