Description
"Mr. Fawkes, of Farnley Hall, has very generously consented, at the request of the decorating and printing sub-committee of the Yorkshire loan training fund county bazaar, to allow them to reproduce twenty of his celebrated "Turners", in the form of a souvenir, to be sold for the benefit of the fund. Of the twenty prints included in this volume, eight are of Wharfedale subjects and will be of special interest in Yorkshire, but as the collection has never been seen before, the Committee feel that these reproductions of Turner's masterpieces form a collection that will be acceptable to any lover of art."
Each plate accompanied by guard sheet with descriptive letterpress.
The loan training fund was for the benefit of the Yorkshire Ladies Council of Education.
