Description
The Salmon Committee was appointed by the Minister of Health in 1963 to advise on senior nursing structure in hospitals. The Committee, chaired by Brian Salmon, reported in 1966 and recommended a new structure for nurse staffing. These papers relate to the work of the Department of Health and Social Security (DHSS) to implement changes to nursing staff structures as recommended by the report.
Papers were housed in paper folder entitled 'Salmon Committee on Senior Nursing Structure Administrative functions & Training for these Posts. Published 12.5.1966. (F.N's birthday)'
