File containing papers and correspondence relating to the Ronald Raven Chair in Clinical Oncology Trust and the Ronald Raven Cancer Appeal.


The Chair was set up in honour of Ronald Raven at Royal Free Hospital, London. The Chair was established as a Trust in 1991 by a group of his patients. After Ronald Raven's death in 1991, Kathleen Raven participated in work to generate continued financial support for the Trust.

- Letters of condolence on the death of Ronald Raven;


- draft and copies of letters, with annotations, sent to grant-giving trusts seeking support for the Chair;


- a copy of a promotional leaflet about the Chair, called 'The Prescription for Recovery' [n.d.];


- press cuttings;


- lists of people and organisations who might be invited to support the Ronald Raven Trust, with related notes and comments by Kathleen Raven;


- reports on research into grant-giving trusts;


- drafts of information documents about the history of the Chair;


- and a document on potential fundraising intiatives for the Trust.
