Biography or history

William Sharp (1769-1833) was a surgeon based in Bradford. He undertook his medical training at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London, and was also apprenticed to his uncle, William Hey I in the 1780s. He married Anne Sharp (d1834) and had a daughter, Annie Sharp (d1846). His nephew was the physician and homoeopathist William Sharp (1805-1896), who was apprenticed to him in 1821 and also trained under William Hey II.
