Inscription on front flyleaf "Edward Wm Stillingfleet[?] with the author's respects". Handwritten note at the end of p. 268 of A history of the church and priory of Swine in Holderness: "In the Spring of 1826, an earthen vessel was found by a boy ploughing in a field near [Purcie?], which contained upwards of 1400 Roman coins - principally... of Constantine the Great"
