Description

Although the date on the title-page is Jan. 1791, the maps, except that of Yorkshire which is still dated 1789, all bear the date Sept. 1st 1792. The maps have been brought up to date by the addition of canals, revision of mail-coach and turnpike routes, etc. Cf. Whitaker: The Harold Whitaker Collection... Univ. of Leeds, 1947, p. 57.
