The spine has five raised bands and blind-tooled in the second panel are the words: J. Fabri Breviarium. Blind-tooled at the base of the spine is the date: 1499. Each spine panel is blind-tooled with quadruple fillets to form a border. The turn-ins are blind-tooled with a pattern of stylised foliage and the leaf edges are coloured brown and sprinkled red and black. The pastedowns are of marbled paper featuring a combination of the curl and spot patterns in blue, cream, red and brown. Size: 279 x 215mm. Leaf size: 269 x 200mm.
