Comprises a printout of a biography of William Kay which includes copies of service documents and photographs.

Biography or history

William 'Willie' Kay was born on 18 August 1893 in Long Marston. He joined the 5th Battalion of the West Yorkshire Regiment on 5 August 1916 and served on the Western Front. He died on 16 March 1979.

Provenance

The papers were placed in the Collection by Andrew Kay, his great-nephew on 24 September 2015 (SPCOLL/2015/73).
