DD59/R/9/1 GIFT WITH WARRANTY 14 Feb. 1550
1) Wilfred Nellestrop of York merchant
2) Abraham Metcalfe of York tylor
For a certain sum of money, 1) has given to 2): 1) ’s tenement in Mikilgate ph. St. Trinity in York, formerly the Priory of St. Trinity now dissolved which 1) had by gift and feoffment of John Bane Alderman of York by charter of 10 Feb. 1548.
To hold of the king as a free burgage and not in chief, rendering 5d. sterling to the Court of Augmentations

Now 1) s. & h. of Sir Leonard has leased the premises to 2)
Term: 90 years commencing at the death of Lady Elizabeth mother of Roger and now wife of Christopher Kenne Esq. Rent: 6d. p.a.

For a consideration of £15, 1) has bargained & sold to 2) the messuage or tenement and garden in Micklegate formerly in the tenure of Margaret Metcalfe widow deceased, afterwards in the occupation of Robert Saughell and now in the occupation of 1) with all buildings etc.

John Dynsdale of the City of York baker is bound to Richard Seller of York baker in £30 to allow Richard to enjoy premises in Micklegate without disturbance and to give legal assurances to the title of the premises.

DD59/R/9/5 PARDON FOR ALIENATION 3 Nov. 1595
From Queen Elizabeth to all Bailiffs etc.
Whereas by a Fine of Jan. 1593 Richard Goodryck Esq. acquired from Edward Talbott Esq. & Jane his wife: 4 messuages, 20 cottages, 4a. of meadow and 10a. of pasture in Mycklegate, York, held of the Queen in chief, and the alienation was made without prior licence.
Now Pardon for the offence is granted to Richard on payment of 80s.
