Adapted by Charles Coffey, with help from John Mottley, from Thomas Jevon's The devil of a wife. Reduced to one act by Theophilus Cibber.
There are two issues of this edition known to exist. This issue has head-piece on leaf A2r with Cupid enthroned. Another issue has different ornaments in gathering A, with head-piece on A2r having two sirens. Cf. ESTC.
