Description
Methodist Sunday School Anniversary service, recorded in Marsh, near Haworth and Oxenhope (West Yorkshire). The Preacher continues his talk on weariness and recognition; makes reference to the Methodist Union of 1932, and a book by Elsie Harrison (the Preacher recounts an anecdote relating to John Wesley from this book); all sing hymn 889 ( 'God of Our Father'), with piano and strings accompaniment; blessing; all sing hymns 417, 289, 22 and 371 (with piano and strings accompaniment).
The singing of hymn 371 continues; all sing hymn 667; Preacher announces the collection total; prayer; piano playing as the congregation leaves. Conclusion of recording which starts on tape LAVC/SRE/A591.
