Description

Compilation tape comprising multiple examples of Bob Hart singing, at home in Snape and in other Suffolk pub and folk club venues, 'All Jolly Fellows that Follow the Plough', 'The Female Cabin Boy', 'Comrades' and 'Banks of Sweet Primroses'. These are copies of original field recordings made by Ginette Dunn, for her Ph.D. (Leeds, 1977), 'Popular Singing Traditions in and Around Snape and Blaxhall' ( LAVC/SRP/1/009).


This compilation also includes examples of Bob Hart's singing as recorded in 1972 on the Topicrecord, 'Songs from Suffolk' (Topic 12TS225).
