Antrobus Soul-Cakers perform their soul-caking play in [?the Birch and Bottle pub, Higher Whitley], followed by an interview with Chris Ayers (Doctor), who gives biographical information and talks about his involvement with the Soul-Cakers, links with the Wheatsheaf pub (Antrobus) darts team, recollections of soul-caking, being asked to play the Doctor, the attraction/appeal of soul-caking, Antrobus community, his interest in folklore and folk singing, performance, drama and tradition in soul-caking, the attitudes of the players.
