[Collector announcement]; Joseph White and his mother, recorded at their home in Ugthorpe. JW talks about the song 'The Fisherman of England', and his learning it and singing it at the Ugthorpe quoits team Quoits Supper; talks about playing quoits; the Quoits Supper and his prize in the singing competition that forms part of the event at the Black Bull; JW's mother talks about the Quoits Supper, and shows the silver teapot won by her father quoit playing [JW's mother is the cousin of Luke Gallon]; Quoits Suppers in the past; comments on 'The Fisherman of England' and 'Keep Right On To the End of the Road'; comments on the collector's November 1976 recording of the Quoits Supper [see tapes LAVC/SRE/A454r and LAVC/SRE/A455r].
