[Collector announcement]; Luke Gallon, recorded at home in Ugthorpe; talks about his family's ages and employment; discusses the recent quoits club social event [?Quoits Supper]; songs - practising, sources, repertoires of singers at the quoit social, song ownership, choice of songs and audience participation; young quoits players and plans for a lads' team; two Ugthorpe teams (A and B), number of players, club handicap; other teams; history of the game in Ugthorpe; use of horseshoes as quoits; revival of popularity in the game; prizes; encouragement of younger players; singing after matches - importance of someone to start the singing; the Gallon and White families.
