Margaret Howell, recorded at home in Snape on the 3 October 1974. General conversation covering song sheets, her sons, Christmas carols, remembering a particular song and her health; sings 'On the Banks of the Clyde', 'The Sailor Boy' and part of 'If I Were a Blackbird'; further talk about the story of a song MH cannot remember; singing as children; sources of songs; family life. George Bennett, recorded at home on the 3 October 1974, sings 'Charlie Take Away', 'Keep Right on to the End of the Road', 'Old Grey Coat', 'Roaming in the Gloaming', 'Strolling Round the Town', 'The Village Pump'and 'Forever and Ever'. Includes conversation about other songs. [Tr. 3]
