Mr. White of Chaffcombe, recorded 5 April 1969, talks about a ghost at a doctor's surgery; Mary Hunt's grave; sticking a pin in a chimney to keep witches away.


Mr. Harvey of Chaffcombe, recorded 9 April 1969, relates black dog legend; sound of horses' hooves on road to Ilminster; angels portending bad luck; Mary Hunt; rebuilding Moolham Church - stones taken down by night; underground passages and tunnels in the area; unidentified lights; local witch; pirate swag in a church at Abbotsbury.


Mr. Perry of Abbotsbury (Dorset), recorded in his cider factory at Dowlish Wake, talks about Mary Hunt; Jack-the-Lantern; moving lights on the road to Chillingham; tunnels built by monks; smuggled goods; black dog.
