Description
Ernest Dyson and his wife Mina Dyson, recorded in their home in Stannington, Sheffield. Mina Dyson talks about composing the carols 'Stannington' (plays/sings first verse) and 'Bradfield'; names of carols and the localities to which they refer; singing in pubs; discussion of the carol 'Jacob's Well' (recites/sings words); recites/sings 'Bradfield'.
Interview carried out as part of the research for the BBC Radio Sheffield broadcast, 'A People's Carol'[see tape LAVC/SRE/A189r]. Conclusion of interview which starts on tape LAVC/SRE/A187r.
