Col Revitt, recorded at home in Worrall, talks about carol singing with the Big Set (carol band) - describes the route taken, through Worrall, Wadsley and Oughtibridge, houses visited, carols requested, largesse given, money collected, pubs visited (in Loxley, Wadsley, Worrall and Oughtibridge); starting carol singing six weeks before Christmas - also at Wharncliffe Side, Stannington and Deepcar; end of the Big Set, pre-World War Two, and revival after the war; discusses old songs, singing with a local [?Worrall] Male Voice Choir, pub singing, part singing, carol manuscript books.
