Physical and technical conditions
Oughtibridge recorded at 19cm/sec; Dungworth recorded at 9.5cm/sec. The recording of the first carol in Oughtibridge is badly affected by print through, and only one verse has been copied onto AC071. The other three carols are also affected, but not to the same extent. They have not been erased, as stated in Ian Russell's Tape Table of Contents. The Dungworth recording is affected by distortion and a reduction in recording level towards the end of the tape.
