Assembled company and soloists singing in the Rose and Crown pub, Ingbirchworth , 16 October 1971. The soloists are Betty Dawson, Bill Needhamand John Beaver. John Dawson accompanies on the piano. [Tr. 2]
Frank Hinchliffe in conversation at his home in Lodge Moor, Sheffield. Discusses various songs, singers and carols, tin/lead mining in Cornwall and Derbyshire, the Hinchliffe family, farming and the value of land, pub singing and remembering tunes and words. Recorded 20 October 1971. [Tr. 3]

9.5cm/sec [Tr. 2]; 4.75cm/sec [Tr. 3]. Low recording level; tape speed increases towards the end, as the tape recorder batteries faded when the original recording was made.
