Description
Stanley Ellis, with tape recorder and microphone, mock-interviewing informant Mr. Tom Mason of Addingham Moorside (near Ilkley, West Yorkshire), outside Mr. Mason's home. This is one of a series of photographs probably taken as a publicity shot for the launch of one of the Survey of English Dialects (SED) Basic Material volumes (probably volume 3: The Southern Counties).
Due to its size, this photograph is held with exhibition items at LAVC/ARC/3/10.
