Description

Copy [?made in 1965] of a photograph of members of the men's sword dancing team, Flamborough (East Riding of Yorkshire). The men are dressed in uniform, consisting of white trousers, black knitted jumpers and flat caps. According to Miss M. Stott of Flamborough, at the time this photograph was deposited with the IDFLS, the men's team had not danced since about 1920, so the photograph probably dates from the early 20th century. Mounted on Photo File card with LAVC/PHO/P1628 and LAVC/PHO/P1629. With ms. notes.

Originally held in Photo File: Traditional Customs, Annual Fairs, Bonfires.
