Ropemaker, Mr. T. G. Outhwaite , winding up cotton braid woven in his workshop, Hawes ( Wensleydale). Loom in background. Mounted on Photo File card with LAVC/PHO/P1264 and LAVC/PHO/P1265. With typed note. Card 12 in a series of 13.

Established in 1905, Outhwaite's the ropemakers still exists in Hawes. It now operates as W. R. Outhwaite & Son (http://www.ropemakers.com/).
