Description
Early bellows used in a smelting mill which was originally driven by water power. The bellows were found at the Old Gang Smelting Mill, Hard Level Gill ( Swaledale). However, they were not used here, but by people looking for minerals in the tippings in more recent times. Mounted on Photo File card. With ms. note based on information from Lawrence Barker of Healaugh.
