Description
Mr. M. Horner of Buckden preparing to brand sheep horns in a field at Cray ( Langstrothdale). The sheep owner's registered brand will be burnt into the horn, forming a permanent record of ownership. Mr. Horner's horn-topped walking stick is planted in the ground in the foreground. Mounted on Photo File card with LAVC/PHO/P0784. Card 1 in a series of 4.
