Description
Interior of Kilnsey Hall ( Kilnsey, Wharfedale) in use as a barn, showing cow stalls. Mounted on Photo File card with LAVC/PHO/P0290. Ms. catalogue details in the hand of Werner Kissling, including a reference to the British Association Traditional Farm Buildings Excursion in 1967, which included Kilnsey Hall (see LAVC/FLF/2/3/2).

Biography or history
Kilnsey Hall is an old manor house, built by Christopher Wade on the ruins of the grange belonging to the monks of Fountains Abbey. At the time when this image was taken, it was estimated that the Hall had been in use for agricultural purposes for at least 150 years.
