Description

This file contains a copy of the preliminary report of the Survey of English Folklore on research into popular cures for warts. The report is based on the examination of around 500 responses relating to wart cures, collected by the Survey from members of the public and a small number of medical professionals. The treatment types include ritual transference, ritual removal, removal by physical therapy, removal by suggestion and transference by suggestion.
