This subseries, comprising a single file only, contains items relating to drinking and inns/public houses. This includes James Stevens Curl's article on gin palaces and their disappearance, extracted from 'Country Life' (22 June 1972), pp. 1598-1600; and mounted magazine cuttings from 'Country Life' on the story behind the sign at the Ram Jam Inn, Stretton (Rutland), and the sign of the Beehive Inn at Grantham (Lincolnshire).
