This file contains a photocopy of an ms. paper by Lloyd Weedon on the origin of fairs in Ireland ([15] leaves). As well as explaining the background to the origin of fairs, and listing examples of Irish fairs, he takes the October cattle and horse fair at Ballinasloe as a case-study.
