This subseries contains items relating to various aspects of the dwelling house and vernacular architecture, including types of houses and buildings, and interior architecture, fittings, equipment and utilities. As well as a number of mounted cuttings, magazine extracts and photocopied articles, the subseries includes several student studies of vernacular architecture in specific localities in England, undertaken as part of the undergraduate course in Dialect and Folk Life Studies at the Institute of Dialect and Folk Life Studies (IDFLS).
