This volume contains pasted-in articles from 'Country Life', 'The Illustrated Carpenter and Builder', 'Yorkshire Evening Post' and the 'Yorkshire Dalesman', some with ms. annotations, and black and white photographic and ms. illustrations with ms. annotations, on various types of gates and gate latches, and stone walls found in Yorkshire. Also inserted is a copy of Arthur Raistrick's 'The Story of the Pennine Walls' (Clapham: Dalesman Publishing Co., 1946), 26 pp.
