Description
A study of the dialect spoken in the North East Lincolnshire town of Immingham, based on data collected from five principal informants.
An introduction to the town and the informants is followed by a descriptive account of the sounds of the Immingham dialect (short and long vowels, glides and consonants), and an Index which lists all the words collected from the informants and used as examples in the study.
