Description

A study comprising four chapters. The first presents a history of the breed, the second gives an outline of, and commentary upon, the Standard of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier; the third chapter analyses the dog's character and the final section describes the state of the breed in 1981. Pencil drawings are included to illustrate the physical characteristics of the breed. A 30th anniversary issue of the magazine, 'The Terrier' (Southern Counties Staffordshire Bull Terrier Society, 1978), is also included.
