Description
This survey of twenty-five British folk museums comprises an introductory section which presents a definition, history and thoughts on the function of the folk museum, followed by individual descriptions of the sites investigated. This includes notes on the history of the museum and the scope and content of its collection. Postcards and photographs from magazines/guide books are used throughout to illustrate each museum.
