This file includes copy and original correspondence between Stewart Sanderson, Harold Orton, Stanley Ellis and others regarding the LAE Committee and LAE Editorial Committee, and agendas and minutes of meetings (July 1967-January 1971); a typed draft application to Yorkshire Television for LAE funding and related correspondence (February 1968); photographic reproductions and photocopies of draft LAE maps; correspondence with J. Y. Mather of the Linguistic Survey of Scotland, Richard W. Feacham of the Ordnance Survey, J. T. Coppickof the School of the Built Environment, University of Edinburgh, and others, and copy correspondence from Hans Kurath, concerning the production of LAE maps (February 1968-January 1972); photocopied press cuttings on plans for the LAE and related correspondence (November 1971); and miscellaneous correspondence relating to the Survey of English Dialects (SED) (February 1968; November 1971; October 1972).
