This series contains press releases and press cuttings relating to the grant given to 'The Linguistic Atlas of England' (LAE) project from the Leverhulme Trust; captions from a pre-publication display of LAE items; Croom Helm publicity items; and a map illustration used for publicity purposes. It also includes correspondence between Stewart Sanderson, the University of Leeds' Registrar, the Sunday Telegraph and others regarding Anthony Lejeune's article, 'Ellis, the Modern Higgins' (printed in the 'Sunday Telegraph Magazine', 20 September 1980).
