Originally housed in a file labelled Transcriptions of M.R. for St./Db. RLS. + Miscellaneous Transcriptions. Includes typed transcriptions of Survey of English Dialects (SED) informants from audio-recordings made in Farndon (Michael Barry and Philip Tilling, 1968), Sutton on the Hill (n.d.), Beckingham (Stanley Ellis, n.d.), Edingale (n.d.), Kersey (Stanley Ellis, n.d.), Skenfrith (Stanley Ellis, n.d.) and Tingewick (Stanley Ellis, n.d.). Also, typed transcription of dialect informant from Midgley (Philip Tilling, 1968); and typed programme for the Postgraduate Seminar in English Language and Medieval Literature, 1972-1973.
The transcriptions are arranged in SED location order.

Access to the manuscript and printed items in this subfonds is unrestricted. Mini disc copies of the audio tape recordings are available for consultation in the searchroom of Special Collections, University of Leeds. Access copies of the gramophone disc recordings are not available.
