Note: The bulk of these papers are those described in Annex E.1, E.2 and E.3 of the document compiled by M. D. McCreath in August 1982 titled “University of Leeds: Vice-Chancellor’s Office: Papers Relating to Lord Boyle’s Period as Vice-Chancellor: (Records kept by his Personal Assistant)” which were transferred to the Archive mainly during 1982. In addition, this collection also contains continuations (and indeed precursors) of series of papers in the Boyle collection itself, for example Box 41 contains copies of the CVCP Briefing up to 1984 (Lord Boyle died in 1981). The transfer of records direct from the Vice-Chancellor’s Office and via Central Filing Office is documented in accompanying correspondence.
