Description
Biography: Stephen T. Anning (M.A., M.D. Cambridge, F.R.C.P.) was appointed as Tutor in Dermatology in L.G.I. Department of Dermatology in 1946, promoted to Clinical Lecturer in 1950, and to Senior Clinical Lecturer (1960-73). Publications include: Anning, S. T. and Walls, W. K. J. A History of the Leeds School of Medicine: One and a Half Centuries 1831-1981, (Leeds: Leeds University Press, 1982) and Anning, Stephen T. The History of Medicine in Leeds, (Leeds: W.S. Maney & Son, 1980).
1: One metal card index box: card index relating to The History of Medicine, as above. Contains three alphabetically-arranged subject indexes: Medical School, Dispensary, and Infirmary. References on the cards appear to be to dates of committee meetings e.g. Weekly Board and Quarterly Board in the case of the Infirmary sequence.
2: One metal card index box: card index relating to [Medical Biography]. Contains one alphabetically-arranged personal name index.
3: One folder containing correspondence relating to research into history of medicine in Leeds, 1975-77.
4: Folder: Anning Exhibition 1983-84 [contains exhibition captions and interpretation, for exhibition about Stephen T. Anning's medical and historical writings].
